Conditions:

• DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR OFFICIAL MARRIAGE IN SRI LANKA

• Birth certificates (both short and long certificates are acceptable)

• A single status affidavit (to be prepared prior to travel)

• If divorced, legal documentation

• If widowed, former marriage certificate and death certificate

• If name has been changed, deed poll certificate

• (includes reverting back to maiden name after being married and divorced)

• If either party has been adopted, adoption papers

• Names of parents of the bride and groom

• Passports of bride and groom valid for a minimum of six (06) months

• Documents must be sent to the hotel at least two months prior to arrival

• In order for the hotel to facilitate a legal marriage in Sri Lanka, the couple must be present at the hotel four (04) days prior to the wedding and are required to send the above mentioned documentation two (02) months prior to arrival.
